Having a Nightmare Rave-up with the Yardbird’s

Or….having strange Rave-ups…. Whipping up a Yardbird’s Nightmare Fantasia using some old public domain archived cartoons from archive dot org, doctored for color and effects. Some live Yardbird’s Smokestack Lightening from the LA House of Blues, Nine Live Yardbirds show, some remixes and collages for effect, the original I Can’t Make Your Way, from 1966, a piece of a live Still I’m Sad from House of blues and some added tidbits I threw in of my own I had laying around. Public Domain cartoons and footage: pieces of Cab Calloway Betty Boop, Minnie the Moocher, Song of the Birds a Max Fleischer Color Classic, The Trail for Hallelujah Land-a Warner Brothers Merrie Melodies. Old cartoon artists were certainly pioneering. And the moral of the story….is whatever deep symbolic meaning you think it is. Some of the synesthesia is pretty cool,
